Summer gardening may be over, but now is no time to put away all of your gardening tools. It’s time for Fall Yardwork!

We thought we’d share some Leaf Raking tips from the pros, as you prepare your yard for winter.

1. Not all leaves need to be picked up. Some can be mowed and mulched into your grass. One good pass should be enough to feed your lawn.

2. Use leaves as mulch for your flowerbeds.

3. Try using a sheet or tarp to collect the fallen leaves. Wheelbarrows typically can’t hold the volume you’ll need to remove in a leafy yard.

4. Wear a dust-mask. Believe it or not, raking leaves can really pump up your allergies!

5. It may go without saying, but always rake downhill. It’s just easier!
